Rogers Cup - Men’s tournament will be played from Aug. 8-16, 2009. As reported: Four players announced their withdrawal from the said event which is presented by National Bank, namely: Richard Gasquet, James Blake, Jose Acasuso and Albert Montanes will not be in Montreal next week.
These withdrawals made the way for Llyeton Hewitt, who had previously been granted a wildcard, to earn direct entry into the main draw. This means that the fourth main draw wildcard will be awarded to Canadian Bruno Agostinelli. While Rafael Nadal, who was away for two months and current defending champion, will now fly to Montreal this week for the Rogers Cup.
